Death confronts us constantly in obvious and hidden ways.

In these times of war, violence, division and environmental collapse our media and government’s ‘thoughts and prayers’ don’t have the capacity to hold our emotional realities.

Social media has denied us the fertile ground to build empathy and emotional depth. We doom scroll through bogs of division and outrage yearning for actual face to face connection

deathfriends is a physical and online community open from 2020 to 2023 that was designed to host conversations with mortality. Our purpose has been to support one another in the emotional realm; share our grief, our present experience and what we’re calling in for the future.

We’d make time to heal together, in community, building understanding and connection through listening and affirming.

Join us for future gatherings online and in person.
